Jewish Cooking Series | August 2018
August 16, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Church Health and Temple Israel are pleased to co-host a Jewish Cooking Series beginning in August 2018. This program aims to engage young adults in the art, origins, tradition and technique behind time-honored Jewish recipes and holiday traditions. This program fosters community, understanding and inter-generational connections while familiarizing guests with Church Health’s mission.
ABOUT THIS CLASS
August’s class celebrates two traditional dishes of Rosh Hashanah—cabbage rolls and apples with honey. Rabbi Micah Greenstein will lead a discussion, followed by a hands-on, mini cooking class with the Church Health Nutrition team. Participants will enjoy a tasting paired with a drink prepared by Cara Greenstein and go home with the cabbage rolls they prepare to freeze or enjoy during the holiday.
Pre-registration is required. At-the-door registration is not available.
Class is in the Church Health Nutrition Hub, located in the West Atrium of Crosstown Concourse. All parking at Crosstown is free.
- Class is open to all in the community.
- Vegetarian preparation is available. Please indicate vegetarian preference via online registration.
- Class is for participants age 21 and up.
- For your safety, all participants must wear flat, closed-toed shoes.
