Mental Health First Aid Training at St. Andrew AME

April 18 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Did you know that you are more likely to encounter someone experiencing an emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack? The good news is that you can help them.

ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

Church Health Behavioral Health will present a free Mental Health First Aid USA training at St. Andrew AME from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18. During this training, you will learn a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to people demonstrating symptoms of a mental illness or a crisis, and you will be equipped with the tools to connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social or self-help care.

Preregistration is required. Registration deadline is April 16, 2018.

LOCATION

The training will be held at St. Andrew’s Community Life Center, 1472 Mississippi Blvd.
