Distinguished Christian author, journalist and editor Philip Yancey will share his inspiring insights on life and faith in Memphis in April, 2019! Make plans to join us for this engaging evening.

This lecture is part of the 2019 Westberg Symposium for Faith Community Nursing. A ministry of Church Health, the Westberg Institute serves health ministry programs worldwide by promoting the development of high-quality outcomes-based FCN practice as part of an overall health ministry program.

About Philip Yancey

A native of Atlanta, Philip Yancey joined the staff of Campus Life Magazine in 1971, where he worked for ten years as editor and then publisher. Philip then became a full-time writer, initially working as a journalist for such varied publications as Reader’s Digest, National Wildlife, Christian Century and The Reformed Journal. For many years he wrote a monthly column for Christianity Today magazine, where he still serves as editor at large.

Yancey has written over 30 books, including Where Is God When It Hurts (1977), Disappointment with God (1988), and Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? (2006). ­­­­­­His most recent books are The Question That Never Goes Away (2013) and Vanishing Grace: What Ever Happened to the Good News? (2014), and he is currently working on his memoir.
