The Research Intern will support the research programming within Church Health and the Healthy Memphis Initiative. Responsibilities will include assisting with design and facilitation of projects, maintenance and analysis of data, drafting of abstracts, manuscripts, and contributing to grant applications. A background or major in biology, biomedical sciences, health sciences, psychology, or public health is preferable, along with an awareness of basic science research. Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required. Additional opportunities for collaboration are available with investigators at the University of Memphis, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Christian Brothers University, Rhodes, Methodist/LeBonheur Healthcare, Baptist Memorial Health Care, Crosstown Concourse, Common Table Health Alliance, various partners in healthcare, and community-based organizations.
