The Art of Dinner Cooking Classes

There’s something beautiful about the balance of healthy and delicious food.

 

In celebration of that beauty, Church Health is proud to present The Art of Dinner Cooking Classes! In these interactive cooking classes, Memphis-area culinary talent guide you through seasonal, delicious dishes in the Church Health Nutrition Hub at Crosstown Concourse. Come with an appetite and your favorite wine or beer! Tickets are $65, with proceeds benefiting Culinary Medicine nutrition programming offered by Church Health.

About the Classes

Classes are the first Friday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Church Health Nutrition Hub, located in the West Atrium of Crosstown Concourse. All parking at Crosstown is free.

Our facility is a working kitchen. For your safety, closed-toe shoes are required.
Pre-registration is required for all Art of Dinner classes. At-the-door ticketing is not available.

We invite you to bring your favorite wine or beer to enjoy during class. For this reason, all class participants must be age 21 and up. Childcare at The Well is not available during Art of Dinner events.

The teaching kitchen is not a gluten-free facility, although we do schedule gluten-free Art of Dinner cooking classes. Please contact us at  for more information.

About Chef House
Art of Dinner instructor Chef Joshua House got his start in NYC in 2000. After graduating from Purdue University, he jumped into the restaurant scene apprenticing at various restaurants.

Eventually, he moved to Pensacola, FL to work as a personal chef for a family of six. He opened his own catering company, Gourmet Comfort, in 2008 where he specialized in private parties and weddings.

In 2012 he moved to Memphis to be closer to family and was the Executive Chef at Bellevue Baptist Church for 4 years.  Currently, he is a Chef Instructor at L’Ecole Culinaire where he specializes in regional and global cuisine.

About Our Beneficiary
Proceeds from the Art of Dinner benefit Culinary Medicine community cooking classes, presented to the community for free by Church Health. In these classes, participants join other community members to learn how to make meals that are as nutritious as they are delicious!
