Watch our Patient Spotlight Interview with Berlinda Webber

For Berlinda Weber, the journey to health and wellness was not just about medical care—it was about finding a community that genuinely cared for her. Thirty years ago, when Church Health was just a small operation in a house on Peabody, Berlinda became one of its first patients. Struggling with financial challenges and health issues, she found hope in an organization that combined top-notch medical care with a heartfelt mission to serve.

Over the years, Church Health and the Memphis Plan became a cornerstone of Berlinda’s life. Through its comprehensive approach to care, she received treatment for glaucoma, support for a torn meniscus, mental health counseling, dental care, and more. Each step of the way, the dedicated team at Church Health ensured her needs were met, often going above and beyond.

Berlinda vividly recalls how Dr. McKnight, her optometrist, worked tirelessly to reduce her dangerously high eye pressure, avoiding surgery and preserving her vision. Physical therapist Kimberly Lambert became a caregiver and a friend, helping her return to her beloved activity of playing pickleball. Mental health support came at a critical time, offering her a safe space to heal emotionally.

She speaks proudly of the organization’s mission, emphasizing the unmatched quality of care and compassion she received. To those considering joining the Memphis Plan, Berlinda’s message is clear: “Go for it. It’s the best decision you could make for your health and your life.”

Thanks to Church Health, Berlinda’s story is one of transformation, resilience, and gratitude—a testament to the power of a community united in service.
