Watch our Donor Spotlight Interview with Anne Emmerth

Anne has always believed that strong communities are built when people choose to care for one another. For her, supporting Church Health is one of the most meaningful ways she can live out that belief.

“I give to Church Health because they help people I know and love,” Anne shares. “They help my neighbors, my community—our community.”

Anne’s relationship with Church Health began with a deep understanding of its mission and trust in the people carrying it forward. She saw it firsthand in Memphis: the work was real, tangible, and transforming lives.

One of the things she appreciates most is how clearly Church Health connects donor gifts to patient care. “I think Church Health does a great job of describing how my $1 or my $20 or my $100 can directly translate into patient services and benefits for individuals,” she says. “Look, I’m not a super-rich person. But for me, it’s a way that my contributions can live on into the future.”

Although Anne has never needed to be a Church Health patient herself—she’s been fortunate to always have good health insurance—she understands that many others don’t share that same access. That awareness fuels her generosity.

“I think what they do is really special,” Anne says. “It’s not just treating a toothache or getting someone a pair of glasses. It’s really treating the whole human. They’re working to make sure the people they serve can unlock their full potential—and then use that potential to serve others.”

For Anne, giving is part of a legacy. Memphis is filled with organizations and places she loves—places made possible because people before her chose to invest. “When I think about some of the most important institutions in Memphis,” she reflects, “Church Health makes the list.”
